Original capture on photographic negative (FILM)

The ghost town of Bodie was once a thriving gold mining town, lawless nonetheless. The boom began in 1876 and lasted until 1880. The town's activity slowed approaching 1912. The end was near after the closing of the Standard Stamp Mill in 1913. The last residents abandoned the town in 1943. What is left today is preserved as an historical site by the National Park Service.

This is still my favorite place to shoot film. The image is from my interpreted landscape abstractions group. A textured filter and random stamp was used during processing.
