Calico was a silver mining town that thrived in the late 1800’s. The existing buildings were reconstructed by the Knott family in the early 1950’s. It is now operated as an historical site in Yermo, CA.

​

This image is a clustering of structures and melding of backgrounds that projected my feeling at the time of processing. Forebodingness looms in this composition, but the viewer is free to interpret a personal meaning.
